學校簡介
雪菲爾大學 (University of Sheffield) 為英國知名的紅磚大學，其起源可追溯至三所學校的合併，分別為雪菲爾醫學院校 (Sheffield School of Medicine)、佛斯學院 (Firth College) 以及雪菲爾技術學校 (Sheffield Technical School)。其中雪菲爾醫學院校的歷史最為悠久，創辦於1828年，而佛斯學院的名聲則最為顯赫。學校於1905年獲皇家授予大學資格，正式更名為雪菲爾大學。
雪菲爾大學自創立以來，始終以透過研究與教學推動優質高等教育，並藉由師生的互動學習改善世界為辦學宗旨。至今已培育出五位諾貝爾醫學與化學獎得主，在國際上以卓越的教學與研究成果享有盛譽。其中超過三成的研究成果被評為全球先驅，逾五成獲得世界卓越評價。憑藉這些優勢，雪菲爾大學名列英國十大最佳研究型大學之一，同時亦為最受國際學生青睞的前五大學府，並建立極具影響力的學術聲望。

環境介紹
雪菲爾市 (Sheffield) 位於英國中部的南約克郡 (South Yorkshire)，為英國八大核心城市。城市名稱源自知名的雪菲河 (River Sheaf)。雪菲爾早期為一座以古堡廣場為中心的小型市集城鎮，隨後憑藉卓越的鋼鐵技術研發出著名的鍍銀餐具 (Sheffield Plate)，並於十九世紀工業革命期間迅速崛起，成為國際知名的鋼鐵重鎮。今日的雪菲爾已發展為一座多元的現代城市，以商業、觀光與文化產業聞名，並位列英國第四大城市。雪菲爾擁有便捷的交通，搭乘火車前往首都倫敦約兩小時車程，至鄰近的曼徹斯特僅約四十分鐘。

學校設施
雪菲爾大學擁有一座於1966年啟用的二級古蹟建築 - 藝術塔 (Arts Tower)。此塔曾在1965年至2010年間為城市最高建築，最初作為多個學系的所在地，如今已改建為行政大樓，僅保留歐洲僅存的帕特諾斯特設計電梯與建築學系的教學空間。藝術塔與正對面的西銀行圖書館 (Western Bank Library) 設有天橋連結，便於師生往返兩座建築大樓。該圖書館設有展示藝廊，收藏兩萬五千冊稀有書籍與逾百件獨特館藏。

• 學校宿舍房型多元，包含雅房 (共用衛浴與廚房)、套房 (個人衛浴、共用廚房)、獨立套房 (個人衛浴與廚房)，以及適合情侶或家庭學生的公寓式房型，滿足不同學生的生活需求。
雪菲爾大學的宿舍分為兩大區域: Ranmoor/Endcliffe Residences, and City Residences。
• Ranmoor/Endcliffe Residences: 位於綠意盎然的景區，環境安全友善，步行即可抵達校園與市中心。宿舍設有交誼中心、生活商店、健身中心、學生酒吧與自助洗衣等設施，生活機能相當便利。

課程介紹
