伯明翰大學 (University of Birmingham) 擁有深厚的學術基石，其歷史可追溯至十八世紀的皇后學院 (Queen's College) 與梅生學院 (Mason College)，此兩間學院為當地著名的醫學院校。伯明翰大學於1900年由維多利亞女王授予皇家特許資格，成為英國第一間紅磚大學，為新世代高等教育的指標性學府，更為許多領域的先驅，包含: 提供牙醫學位、設立商學院、提供女性宿舍、成立學生協會等。現今已成為英國最具規模的校園之一，並於2009年歡慶校園內第一座標的性建築的百年創建日。

環境介紹
伯明翰 (Birmingham) 位於英格蘭中部，是英國規模僅次於倫敦的第二大城市。於中世紀時期，伯明翰因地理位置優越而發展為重要的貿易中心；伴隨十八世紀工業革命的興起，城市邁入工業的啟蒙時期，當地的技術、科學與經濟全面發展，逐步崛起成為歐洲舉足輕重的工業和商業重鎮，更發展成為全球最具規模且產業類型最為多元的金屬加工中心，奠定現代工業社會的重要基石，並被譽為世界首座製造之城。城市的工業輝煌時期自十八世紀延續至二十世紀末，深刻影響英國與全球的現代化進程。

住宿相關
