薩塞克斯大學 (University of Sussex) 為英國新世代大學的先驅之一，隸屬於六零年代所成立的七所知名平板玻璃大學 (Plate Glass University)，該名稱取自各校的特色玻璃設計建築風格，對照具備傳統維多利亞建築風格的紅磚大學，平板玻璃大學成為新世代的獨特設計代表。薩塞克斯大學於1961年獲得皇家許可授予大學資格，以豐富的創意思維、創新且多元的教學、以及卓越的跨領域研究而享有盛名。

環境介紹
布萊頓 (Brighton) 位於英格蘭南部沿岸，隸屬東薩塞克斯郡 (East Sussex)，被譽為英國最優美且具魅力的海濱城市之一。於中世紀時期，便因舊城區發展與盛行的海水療養文化而成為知名的健康休憩勝地。歷經戰爭與經濟轉型後，隨著交通與基礎建設的完善，布萊頓逐步發展為英國南部的熱門觀光城市，每年吸引超過八千萬名遊客造訪，長年名列英國最受歡迎的海濱度假城市，亦有歡樂之城的美譽。城市交通便利，搭乘火車約一小時即可抵達倫敦，往返倫敦希斯洛國際機場亦相當便捷，同時也是重要的海運港口之一。
布萊頓匯聚豐富的教育資源，設有兩所國際知名大學 - 薩塞克斯大學 (University of Sussex) 與布萊頓大學 (University of Brighton)。兩校合作所成立的布萊頓與薩塞克斯醫學院，為英國政府支持、專注培育 NHS 優秀醫師的新興醫學院之一。布萊頓每年吸引大量來自世界各地的學生前來修讀語言、專業技能與高階學位課程，在優越的環境中拓展國際視野並累積豐富的文化經驗。

• Park Village: 傳統式的民房宿舍建築，每棟宿舍設有十二間單人雅房、共用衛浴與廚房、交誼中心。
• Stanmer Court Flat: 雅致宿舍建築，每區宿舍約入住四至六位學生。宿舍提供單人套房 (房內含個人衛浴)、共用廚房、交誼中心、自助洗衣設備、服務中心。
適合國際學生選擇的校區外宿舍:
• University-owned Flat (Kings Road Flat): 位於布萊頓市中心，共有六間公寓式房型，每間公寓約入住五位學生。宿舍提供單人雅房、共用衛浴、共用廚房。宿舍鄰近火車站、公車站、各式生活商店。
